LOCATION:

South of Leubus, on a steep slope of the Postglacial valley, along km 590-592.

AREA:

12,84 ha.

DESCRIPTION:

A steep slope of the Odra Postglacial Valley (locally 30 m high), together with floodplain areas at the foot. The area called into being mainly to protect the extrazonal outpost of the continental steppic grasslands with many xerothermic species.

HABITATS:

dry thermophilous grasslands (Festuco-Brometea), reeds (Phragmitetea), regenerative stages of willow-poplar gallery forest.

COMMENTS:

Protected as nature reserve ("Oderberge", Naturschutzgebiet no 1168).
