27. Łęgi Cigacickie (Cigacice Riverine Forests)

MOTIVES:

  1. Number and codes of habitats (HD I): 5 (3510, 6430, 91D0, 91E0, 91F0)
  2. Bird species (BD): 3

AREA:

    SAC (?)

LOCATION:

    From Cigacice to Pomorsko, along the Odra (along km 473-480), 1-3 km south of the river’s bed.

AREA:

    Approximately 1800 ha.

DESCRIPTION:

    A huge complex of wet mesophilouse forests, with advantage of elm-ash forest and swamp alder woods, partly of anthropogenic origin.

HABITATS:

    Elm-ash forests, swamp alder woods, numerous huge oxbow lakes, sedge and reed communities.

BIRDS (BD):

    Dendrocopos medius, Alcedo atthis, Milvus migrans.

FISH:

    Misgurnus fossilis (HD II).

COMMENTS:

    It demands further research.
