10. Dolina Odry między Zakrzowem i Kobylnikami (The Odra Valley between Zakrzów and Kobylniki)

MOTIVES:

  1. Number and codes of habitats (HD I): 6 (3150, 6430, 6510, 9170, 91E0, 91F0)
  2. Bird species (BD): 1
  3. Other animal species 2 (fish HD II - 1, KB III - 1)
  4. Plant species: 2 (KB II).

AREA:

    SAC

LOCATION:

    Forest, oxbow lakes and meadow complex, (km 288-295), along the Odra banks at the width of approximately 300 m-1,5 km, partly outside the dikes. It comprises mostly the left side of the Odra, entering the right one only in a small part nearby Pogalewo.

AREA:

    Approximately 700 ha.

DESCRIPTION:

    The area encompassing a habitually diversified mosaic with advantage of oak-hornbeam forest communities and parts of elm-ash forest withhold from inundations), with well-developed parts of riverine forests within dikes. The meadows under extensive farming and reed communities occurs mainly around shallow oxbow lakes and cover small areas, mainly in a western part of the suggested refuge, also partly around the villages Słup and Kobylniki.

HABITATS:

    Eutrophic lakes, willow-poplar gallery forests, elm-ash forests, oak-hornbeam forests, lowland hay meadows (Alopecurus pratensis), eutrophic tall herb fringes reed communities.

BIRDS (NATURE):

    Dendrocopos medius

FISH:

    Misgurnus fossilis (HD II), Silurus glanis (KB III)

PLANTS:

    Salvinia natans (KB II), Trapa natans (KB II),

COMMENTS:

    The area is included within the confines of the Landscape Park "Dolina Odry II"
    (The Odra Valley II).
