LOCATION:

South of Słubice, along km 581-584.

AREA:

approximately 350 ha.

DESCRIPTION:

Floodplain area, south of Słubice, within the limits of embankments more than 1 km wide in this stretch. It is composed of two separate parts. Closer to Słubice, there is an area of extensively managed pastures and meadows of total area around 200 ha., the southern part - in turn - is covered by riverine forests.

HABITATS:

Elm-ash forests, lowland hay meadows (Alopecurus pratensis), small patches of willow-poplar gallery forest, eutrophic lakes (oxbow lakes).

BIRDS (BD):

Dendrocopos medius, Milvus migrans, Galinago galinago.

FISH:

Silurus glanis (KB III).

PLANTS:

Cnidium dubium (RB cat. V).

COMMENTS:

It has been proposed as a protected area with the status of ecological area "Dolina Odry koło Słubic"(The Odra Valley by Słubice) of total area 80 ha.(Chojnacki, Torkler 2000).
